Prizes to the competition were offered by companies RALLY MODELS – Antonín Babík, A-L-L Model and
publishing house Computer Press (book “Czech Rally in photographs 2003 – 2004” by Pavel Jelínek)
By the occasion of performing 33rd Barum Rally Zlín 2003 was opened the traditional photo competition.
Auto-club Barum Zlín in co-operation with ZLIN PRESS
production agency opened a photo competition for common category of professional photo-reporters and photo-amateurs – colour, and black and white photography.
New category “digital photography” was open with a huge response.
Professional jury composed of Miloslav Regner (Clerk of the Course), Roman Ordelt (ZLIN PRESS production)
and Jan Regner (Barum Rally Zlín Secretary) has decided to award beside three financial prizes in the category
of colour picture, also five other awards of colour picture.
"It was not easy to choose the best pictures. In comparison with the previous years it is obvious an increase of quality
pictures. It is also clear that the auto-sport is interesting for more and more photographers.
It is obvious, that black and white category gets to the woods, which can be illustrated by the number of
involved authors. We were also satisfied with a huge interest for digital photography,
which could be expected due to the present development" , said Miloslav Regner, President of the Jury and
Clerk of the Course of the Barum Rally Zlín.
Jury has decided to award only two financial prizes of 500 CZK in black and white category as the first
prize and 300 CZK as the second prize. Also in digital category there were awarded three financial prizes there.
It is delightful, that photo competition had among motoristic fans really positive reactions and the
level of received pictures is better every year.
In the colour photo category was involved 34 authors, who send the total number of 125 pictures,
in the black and white category send 2 authors 7 pictures.

1st prize - Jaroslav Kacerovský, Český Krumlov – 500 CZK
2nd prize - Marek Pohan, Radošovice – 300 CZK
3rd prize - Bořivoj Chaloupka, Pardubice – 200 CZK
