When Renato Travaglia finished the last SS of the 35th year of Barum Rally, we could see a happy smile on his face. The only thing he had to do at that moment was to drive the undamaged and functioning vehicle to the finish ramp. His major rival Giandomenico Basso was disappointed, however he can still compete for European Championship, as he gained points for the second place. Jan Kopecký became the best home driver and best driver of the production car at the same time. In the end, he successfully maintained his lead over Václav Pech.

„It´s super, I´m really happy.“

Jan Kopecký (st.No.4, Mitsubishi Lancer EVO VII):
„ We had to speed up, because Václav reduced our lead. But I hope it will suffice.“

Giandomenico Basso (st.No.3, Fiat Punto Abarth S1600):
„ Travaglia did better, it couldn´t be helped.“

„We´re satisfied.“
